Where is Mangewala?

Mangewala is a village in Moga tehsil of Moga district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bagha Purana, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Moga-II community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034065, and it covers 716 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,455 people in Mangewala: 1,317 men and 1,138 women, living in 436 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 716 hectares, the population density works out to about 343 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 864 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 289, about 12 per cent of the village.
