Where is Matwani?

Matwani is a village in Moga tehsil of Moga district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Moga, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Moga-I community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034025, and it covers 369 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,352 people in Matwani: 720 men and 632 women, living in 250 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household.
