Babowal is a village of Majitha tehsil in Amritsar district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Majitha, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 2,099 people in Babowal: 1,111 men and 988 women, living in 376 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
