Where is Bagrian?

Bagrian is a village of Amritsar II tehsil in Amritsar district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Amritsar, about 25 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Attari community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037659, and it covers 202 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 353 people in Bagrian: 185 men and 168 women, living in 46 households, an average of about 7.7 people per household. Spread over its 202 hectares, the population density works out to about 175 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 908 women for every 1,000 men.
