The village falls in the Jandiala Guru community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037556, and it covers 760 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,117 people in Fatehpur Rajputan: 2,165 men and 1,952 women, living in 799 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 760 hectares, the population density works out to about 542 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 902 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 498, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 2,442 people, about 59 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 70.21 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 76.07 per cent and women at 63.74 per cent.
