Kotli Nasir Khan is a village in Amritsar II tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Amritsar, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Attari community development block and is served by the Kotli--Nasir--Khan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037590, and it covers 368 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,756 people in Kotli Nasir Khan: 906 men and 850 women, living in 320 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 368 hectares, the population density works out to about 477 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 938 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 198, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,110 people, about 63 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 69.38 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 75.44 per cent and women at 63.09 per cent. The census recorded 974 workers, about 55 per cent of the village. Of the 969 main workers, the largest group, 621, were agricultural labourers, ahead of 242 cultivators on their own land and 105 other workers in trade, transport and services. Banking was available in the village itself, with a cooperative bank branch. Domestic electricity supply was recorded at 14 hours a day.
