Ramdas Rural is a village in Ajnala tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ramdas, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ajnala community development block and is served by the Ramdass ( Rural ) gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037105, and it covers 1,711 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,527 people in Ramdas Rural: 802 men and 725 women, living in 274 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 1,711 hectares, the population density works out to about 89 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 904 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 247, about 16 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 128 people, about 8 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
