The 2011 census counted 2,284 people in Katar Singhwala: 1,170 men and 1,114 women, living in 421 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 564 hectares, the population density works out to about 405 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 952 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 300, about 13 per cent of the village.
