It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Mallanwala Khass, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,111 people in Malhuwaliawala: 1,093 men and 1,018 women, living in 385 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 571 hectares, the population density works out to about 370 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 931 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 284, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 625 people, about 30 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
