Population and households

The 2011 census counted 477 people in Chahal Khurd: 244 men and 233 women, living in 104 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 82 hectares, the population density works out to about 582 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 955 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 60, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 241 people, about 51 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
