Danianwali is a village of Gurdaspur tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Batala, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dhariwal community development block and is served by the Danianli gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028325, and it covers 109 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 825 people in Danianwali: 405 men and 420 women, living in 175 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 109 hectares, the population density works out to about 757 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1037 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 101, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 220 people, about 27 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
