Chak Mirpur is a village of Mukerian tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Talwara community development block and is served by the Chak-Mirpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031281, and it covers 359 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,354 people in Chak Mirpur: 672 men and 682 women, living in 274 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 359 hectares, the population density works out to about 377 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1015 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 182, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 99 people, about 7 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
