Where is Kotli?

Kotli is a village of Hoshiarpur tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Hoshiarpur, about 22 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunga community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031389, and it covers 78 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 411 people in Kotli: 222 men and 189 women, living in 81 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 78 hectares, the population density works out to about 527 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 851 women for every 1,000 men.
