Where is Latifpur?

Latifpur is a village in Mukerian tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Mukerian community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031170, and it covers 87 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 319 people in Latifpur: 148 men and 171 women, living in 68 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 87 hectares, the population density works out to about 367 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1155 women for every 1,000 men.
