Where is Dalewal?

Dalewal is a village of Phillaur tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Goraya, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Rurka Kalan community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030208, and it covers 121 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,066 people in Dalewal: 525 men and 541 women, living in 241 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 121 hectares, the population density works out to about 881 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1030 women for every 1,000 men.
