It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Goraya, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 559 people in Ladhar Khurd: 269 men and 290 women, living in 126 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 142 hectares, the population density works out to about 394 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1078 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 45, about 8 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 208 people, about 37 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
