Shampur is a village of Phillaur tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nurmahal, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 654 people in Shampur: 313 men and 341 women, living in 140 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
