Jabbowal is a village of Sultanpur Lodhi tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sultanpur Lodhi, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sultanpur Lodhi community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029518, and it covers 500 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,265 people in Jabbowal: 647 men and 618 women, living in 233 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 500 hectares, the population density works out to about 253 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 955 women for every 1,000 men.
