The village falls in the Kapurthala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029239, and it covers 370 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 516 people in Wadala Khurd: 284 men and 232 women, living in 108 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 370 hectares, the population density works out to about 139 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 817 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 48, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 87 people, about 17 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
