Mutton is a village of Samrala tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Samrala, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Samrala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033126, and it covers 286 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 769 people in Mutton: 400 men and 369 women, living in 154 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household.
