Where is Puranewala?

Puranewala is a village of Moga tehsil in Moga district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Moga, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Moga-I community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034031, and it covers 199 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 980 people in Puranewala: 504 men and 476 women, living in 185 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household.
