Behbalpur is a village in Nabha tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bhadson, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nabha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036451, and it covers 372 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,126 people in Behbalpur: 603 men and 523 women, living in 219 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 372 hectares, the population density works out to about 303 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 867 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 118, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 444 people, about 39 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 75.1 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 81.04 per cent and women at 68.3 per cent. The census recorded 371 workers, about 33 per cent of the village.
