Jawalapur is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sanaur, about 25 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunerheri community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036708, and it covers 196 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 487 people in Jawalapur: 253 men and 234 women, living in 80 households, an average of about 6.1 people per household.
