Bandleri is a village of Nangal tehsil in Rupnagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nangal, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Anandpur Sahib community development block and is served by the Bandlehri gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038575, and it covers 159 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,067 people in Bandleri: 553 men and 514 women, living in 216 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 159 hectares, the population density works out to about 671 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 929 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 132, about 12 per cent of the village.
