Where is Harsabela?

Harsabela is a village of Nangal tehsil in Rupnagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nangal, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Anandpur Sahib community development block and is served by the Harshabela gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038531, and it covers 601 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 533 people in Harsabela: 291 men and 242 women, living in 99 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 601 hectares, the population density works out to about 89 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 832 women for every 1,000 men.
