Pedni Kalan is a village of Dhuri tehsil in Sangrur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dhuri, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dhuri community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039622, and it covers 507 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,674 people in Pedni Kalan: 911 men and 763 women, living in 347 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 175, about 10 per cent of the village.
