Where is Dharak Kalan?

Dharak Kalan is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kharar, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039107, and it covers 168 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 788 people in Dharak Kalan: 416 men and 372 women, living in 152 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 168 hectares, the population density works out to about 469 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 894 women for every 1,000 men.
