Where is Bharo Mazara?

Bharo Mazara is a village of Banga tehsil in SBS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Phagwara, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Banga community development block and is served by the Bharo Majara gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032167, and it covers 219 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,244 people in Bharo Mazara: 620 men and 624 women, living in 283 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 219 hectares, the population density works out to about 568 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1006 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 137, about 11 per cent of the village.
