Where is Devlanwal?

Devlanwal is a village of Khadur Sahib tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Rayya, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Khadur Sahib community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038331, and it covers 171 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,076 people in Devlanwal: 560 men and 516 women, living in 218 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 171 hectares, the population density works out to about 629 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 921 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 152, about 14 per cent of the village.
