Kalanjar Uttar is a village of Patti tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Khem Karan, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Valtoha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038118, and it covers 434 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,378 people in Kalanjar Uttar: 730 men and 648 women, living in 259 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 156, about 11 per cent of the village.
