Early life

Amit Bhalla was born on 6 March 1991 in Ludhiana, Punjab, into a modest family. Music was always part of his life, and his family encouraged him to pursue it despite financial struggles. He took formal vocal training from Ustad Harvinder Bittu in Ludhiana, performing at school functions and inter-school competitions while working part-time in the telecom industry to support himself.

Career

Ninja's defining moment came with the 2014 breakout song 'Thokda Reha' — its relatable lyrics and his heartfelt rendition made him a star almost overnight. He followed with a run of emotional hits: 'Aadat', 'Oh Kyu Ni Jan Sake', 'Roii Na' and 'Gall Jattan Wali', establishing him as one of Punjabi music's most soulful voices.

He made his acting debut in 2017 with the Punjabi film Channa Mereya, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut (Male) in Punjabi cinema — a rare feat for a singer crossing over. He has continued to release singles and collaborate with producers like Goldboy, who shaped the sound of his early hits.
