The 2011 census counted 3,898 people in Kathu Nangal: 2,005 men and 1,893 women, living in 751 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 527 hectares, the population density works out to about 740 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 944 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 466, about 12 per cent of the village.
