The village falls in the Rampura community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 035698, and it covers 1,984 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 8,970 people in Rampura Rural: 4,774 men and 4,196 women, living in 1,745 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 1,984 hectares, the population density works out to about 452 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 879 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 1,072, about 12 per cent of the village.
