Where is Kamalwala?

Kamalwala is a village of Zira tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Mallanwala Khass, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Makhu community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034310, and it covers 686 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,967 people in Kamalwala: 1,021 men and 946 women, living in 316 households, an average of about 6.2 people per household. Spread over its 686 hectares, the population density works out to about 287 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 927 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 238, about 12 per cent of the village.
