Katora (Zira) is a village in Zira tehsil of Ferozepur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Zira, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Zira community development block and is served by the Katora gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034420, and it covers 294 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,040 people in Katora (Zira): 544 men and 496 women, living in 185 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 294 hectares, the population density works out to about 354 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 912 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 113, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 67 people, about 6 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
