Bassi Kaso is a village of Hoshiarpur tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Hoshiarpur, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hoshiarpur-I community development block and is served by the Bassikaso gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031460, and it covers 185 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 458 people in Bassi Kaso: 256 men and 202 women, living in 69 households, an average of about 6.6 people per household. Spread over its 185 hectares, the population density works out to about 248 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 789 women for every 1,000 men.
