The village falls in the Mukerian community development block and is served by the Kale--Bagh gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031142, and it covers 78 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 402 people in Kale Bagh: 196 men and 206 women, living in 83 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 78 hectares, the population density works out to about 515 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1051 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 43, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 89 people, about 22 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
