Kalyanpur is a village in Dasua tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dasua community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030758, and it covers 74 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 274 people in Kalyanpur: 139 men and 135 women, living in 60 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 74 hectares, the population density works out to about 370 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 971 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 28, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 72 people, about 26 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 87.8 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 90.32 per cent and women at 85.25 per cent. The census recorded 83 workers, about 30 per cent of the village.
