Mehtabpur is a village of Mukerian tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 3,151 people in Mehtabpur: 1,550 men and 1,601 women, living in 659 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household.
