The village falls in the Hazipur community development block and is served by the Panjdhera-Rahia gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031099, and it covers 220 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 589 people in Panjdhera Rahia: 286 men and 303 women, living in 140 households, an average of about 4.2 people per household. Spread over its 220 hectares, the population density works out to about 268 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1059 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 58, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 62 people, about 11 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
