The village falls in the Hoshiarpur-I community development block and is served by the Sada--Arain gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031633, and it covers 111 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 294 people in Panjgrain: 147 men and 147 women, living in 64 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 111 hectares, the population density works out to about 265 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1000 women for every 1,000 men.
