Where is Daula?

Daula is a village of Sultanpur Lodhi tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sultanpur Lodhi, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sultanpur Lodhi community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029404, and it covers 175 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 731 people in Daula: 394 men and 337 women, living in 127 households, an average of about 5.8 people per household. Spread over its 175 hectares, the population density works out to about 418 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 855 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 63, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 246 people, about 34 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
