The 2011 census counted 450 people in Narangpur: 226 men and 224 women, living in 108 households, an average of about 4.2 people per household. Spread over its 88 hectares, the population density works out to about 511 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 991 women for every 1,000 men.
