Where is Paprodi?

Paprodi is a village of Samrala tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Samrala, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Samrala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033129, and it covers 178 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,048 people in Paprodi: 550 men and 498 women, living in 198 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 178 hectares, the population density works out to about 589 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 905 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 104, about 10 per cent of the village.
