Heron Khurd is a village of Budhlada tehsil in Mansa district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Budhlada, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Budhlada community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036076, and it covers 648 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 3,006 people in Heron Khurd: 1,623 men and 1,383 women, living in 571 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 648 hectares, the population density works out to about 464 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 852 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 358, about 12 per cent of the village.
