Where is Anyal?

Anyal is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 23 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bamial community development block and is served by the Anial gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027711, and it covers 163 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,377 people in Anyal: 710 men and 667 women, living in 269 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 163 hectares, the population density works out to about 845 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 939 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 146, about 11 per cent of the village.
