Faugli Mawa is a village in Dhar Kalan tehsil of Pathankot district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dhar Kalan community development block and is served by the Faugli, Phagali gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027385, and it covers 540 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 430 people in Faugli Mawa: 221 men and 209 women, living in 94 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 540 hectares, the population density works out to about 80 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 946 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 65, about 15 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 144 people, about 33 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 82.47 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 90.86 per cent and women at 73.74 per cent. The census recorded 117 workers, about 27 per cent of the village. A further 18 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.

Neighbouring villages include Dhar Khurd, Lanjera, Phangota and Lohrun.
