Jamaitgarh is a village in Rajpura tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ambala, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ghanaur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036850, and it covers 290 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,521 people in Jamaitgarh: 800 men and 721 women, living in 304 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 290 hectares, the population density works out to about 524 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 901 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 180, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 785 people, about 52 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 69.8 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 79.08 per cent and women at 59.72 per cent. The census recorded 469 workers, about 31 per cent of the village. Of the 443 main workers, the largest group, 336, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 72 agricultural labourers and 34 cultivators on their own land. A further 26 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
