More than 25,000 young athletes from over 1,400 villages are taking part in the third Roundglass Foundation Village Sports Festival across Punjab.

The 2026 edition began on September 19 and is being held at 70 venues. Organisers say the festival aims to revive rural sporting culture with competitions in athletics, kabaddi, hockey and other disciplines.

The scale makes it one of the largest grassroots sports gatherings in the state, with coaches scouting talent from village-level matches.
