How big was the demand?
Total demand reached about Rs 7.4 lakh crore (roughly $77 billion), including nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore from the anchor book, The New Indian Express and Deccan Herald reported. Public bids alone came to about Rs 4.9 lakh crore. The issue was fully subscribed in under 100 minutes of opening on Wednesday, the fastest for a mega IPO in India.
Who bid the most?
Qualified institutional buyers subscribed their portion 70.55 times. Non-institutional investors bid 14 times their quota, while the retail portion was subscribed 2.72 times. The employee quota was subscribed 2.93 times and the shareholder quota 7.60 times, the Economic Times reported. Applications crossed 1.3 crore, a record for an Indian IPO, with different outlets citing figures between 1.34 and 1.39 crore.
What happens next?
The price band was Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 a share, and anchor investors were allotted shares worth Rs 8,109.85 crore at the top end. The Tech Portal reported listing is expected on 28 October. The strong response came despite weak markets, with the Sensex and Nifty each down more than 2% this week, the New Indian Express noted.

ਨਿਊ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਐਕਸਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਤੇ ਡੈਕਨ ਹੈਰਾਲਡ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੁੱਲ ਮੰਗ ਲਗਭਗ 7.4 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ (ਕਰੀਬ 77 ਅਰਬ ਡਾਲਰ) ਰਹੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਂਕਰ ਬੁੱਕ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ 2.5 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਇਕੱਲੀਆਂ ਜਨਤਕ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਲਗਭਗ 4.9 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ 100 ਮਿੰਟਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਇਸ਼ੂ ਪੂਰਾ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਈਪੀਓ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੈ।

ਯੋਗ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਖ਼ਰੀਦਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ 70.55 ਗੁਣਾ ਭਰਿਆ। ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਟੇ ਤੋਂ 14 ਗੁਣਾ, ਪ੍ਰਚੂਨ ਹਿੱਸਾ 2.72 ਗੁਣਾ, ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਕੋਟਾ 2.93 ਗੁਣਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੇਅਰਧਾਰਕ ਕੋਟਾ 7.60 ਗੁਣਾ ਭਰਿਆ, ਇਕਨਾਮਿਕ ਟਾਈਮਜ਼ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ। ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ 1.3 ਕਰੋੜ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਗਈਆਂ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਈਪੀਓ ਲਈ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਹੈ; ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਅਦਾਰੇ 1.34 ਤੋਂ 1.39 ਕਰੋੜ ਦਾ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਦੱਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
